The partners of the SFM-VR ( Sustainable Forest Management Through Virtual reality) project met for the second transnational meeting in Suceava (Romania). This time the Faculty of Forestry of the University “Stefan cel Mare” was the hosting organization and was in charge of organizing the second online hybrid seminar, “Virtual Reality and sustainable forest management – tools and technologies to train sustainable forest management” on October 5th.
The hybrid seminar consisted of 3 hours with 2h online and 1h face to face demonstrations. The seminar on VR (hybrid) included the utilization of technologies used in forest management training. This also boosted the dissemination of best practices and comparisons between different methodologies.
Among the objectives of this seminar , there was the willing to support the introduction of new technologies into education and, through it, the diversity of teaching methods able to improve the educational content, environmental friendliness, quality and innovation of methods in this field.
The event collected experts, teachers, stakeholders from Romania, Finland and Germany as well as the project consortium together to elaborate new ideas on various aspects of sustainable forest management and the use of online and innovative tools in education.
