Project partners are preparing to launch the STEP local workshop series across five European countries – Germany, Sweden, France, Greece, and Italy – marking a significant step toward advancing digital inclusion and active aging across the continent.
Organized in collaboration with local adult education centers and associations, these workshops will offer engaging and supportive learning experiences designed to enhance digital skills, confidence, and participation in modern society.
Each local workshop is built around five core training modules, developed by the STEP Project to support both adult educators and learners at three levels of proficiency: basic, intermediate, and advanced:
- Lifelong Learning
- Digital Literacy
- Social and Economic Integration
- Political Participation
- Health and Well-being
The STEP Local workshop activities will include:
- Interactive group sessions on each of the five project topics
- Demonstrations of useful digital tools for lifelong competence development
- Hands-on support tailored to individual learning needs
These workshops are open to adults and older adults alike – welcoming anyone interested in building their skills and knowledge in a collaborative, age-inclusive setting.
To complement these local initiatives, European-level workshops will also take place in the partner countries, offering valuable opportunities for adult educators and senior participants from different national contexts to come together, exchange experiences, and engage in meaningful, real-life dialogue around the project’s themes. These transnational events aim to deepen cross-cultural understanding and further enrich the learning journey through personal interaction.
Together, the local and European workshops represent a major milestone in the STEP Project’s mission to empower both adult learners and educators in today’s digital societies. By combining technology, lifelong learning, and community participation, STEP supports the creation of more inclusive, age-friendly, and digitally confident communities across Europe.
