CirculYoung Participates in FAMI Project Event

Today ThursdOn June 26th, the CirculYoung team took part in an important event in Pesaro showcasing the progress of the FAMI Project “Quality Reception for Third-Country Nationals in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino.” The event was organized by the associations L’Africa Chiama, Accordi, and Iscos Marche, with the support of the local Prefecture.

The morning featured a series of presentations highlighting local projects actively working in the fields of migrant reception and inclusion. These were shared through first-hand testimonies, offering a meaningful insight into the concrete experiences of both migrants and practitioners on the ground.

Dr. Barberis from the University of Urbino “Carlo Bo” presented findings from a recent study on the socio-economic conditions of refugees and asylum seekers in Italy, highlighting persistent challenges such as employment instability, housing barriers, and access to education. Following this, Dr. Simona Ortolani outlined the regional plans for intervention, focusing on strategies for improving coordination among local actors and enhancing the quality of services offered.

During the event, the CirculYoung team introduced the main objectives and future perspectives of their project, which aims to promote social and economic inclusion through circular economy principles. Their intervention sparked a lively and thought-provoking discussion with attendees, touching on the importance of integrating sustainability into reception models, and how youth-focused initiatives can play a key role in building more inclusive communities.

The event was not only a valuable occasion to update on the evolving landscape of migrant reception in Italy but also served as a platform for exchange, dialogue, and networking. For CirculYoung, it was an important opportunity to connect with stakeholders, share ideas, and explore future collaborations aimed at fostering a more inclusive and forward-thinking approach to migration.
