🚗 The automotive sector is changing. Skills and employment opportunities must evolve with it.
We are excited to introduce DEMANDS-AUTO – Skills validation, onboarding support and retention for automotive workers in transition, a 24-month European project supporting workers affected by the green and digital transformation of the automotive sector and its supply chain.
💡 Connecting skills with real employment opportunities
DEMANDS-AUTO pilots a Skills Guarantee mechanism designed to help workers navigate professional transitions and access sustainable employment opportunities.
The approach starts with employer-validated job vacancies, assesses workers’ existing skills and matches their profiles with real labour market needs. Where skills gaps are identified, targeted bridging training helps participants prepare for their new roles.
But finding a job is only the beginning.
Through onboarding, mentoring, regular check-ins and early-warning support, DEMANDS-AUTO will accompany participants during their first six months in employment, supporting successful integration and long-term job retention.
🎯 Our ambition in numbers
Over 24 months, DEMANDS-AUTO aims to:
🔹 Profile 150 workers in transition
🔹 Validate 200 job vacancies
🔹 Agree 90 worker–employer matches
🔹 Support 75 job placements
🔹 Involve 70 participants in bridging training
🔹 Achieve 60 verified six-month retention outcomes
🤝 Working together for a more inclusive labour market
The project brings together 7 beneficiaries and 3 associated public authorities, combining the expertise of employer organisations, social partners, training providers, universities and public employment services.
Together, the partners will develop practical tools, evidence-based approaches and a publicly available Toolkit to facilitate the replication of the Skills Guarantee mechanism beyond the pilot activities.
