The DETOUR project aims to enhance the tourism services of small and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas along the hiking routes of the Via Francigena (pilot area in Italy), the Lycian Way (Turkey), the Sultan’s Path (pilot area in Bulgaria) and the mountain routes near Mount Olympus, Kissavos and Mavrovouni (Greece).

A network of experts and managers of international trails have the opportunity to exchange good practices in the field of slow tourism, environment, sustainability, green transition, digitalisation.

The project will train 32 stakeholders from the tourism sector and 80 SMEs, offering funding to the 32 best innovative projects selected, with the aim of transforming and enhancing the tourism offer.
