The “Co-Create EcoTrade” project, aimed at enhancing sustainable practices in Vocational Education and Training (VET), officially commenced on March 2025. Led by the Istituto Tecnico di Miranda del Ebro (Spain), the 12-month initiative brings together partners Dracon Rules Design Studio (Greece) and Training 2000 (Italy). Partners met online for the kick-ogg meeting on march 27 2025.
The project’s primary objectives include the development of the EcoTrade Card Game, accompanied by the EcoTrade Rulebook and Trainer’s Guide. These resources are designed to foster collaborative learning and equip VET educators with innovative tools to promote sustainability in trade practices.
On March 27, 2025, project partners convened an online meeting to discuss forthcoming activities and strategize the development of the project’s key deliverables. This meeting marked a significant step towards achieving the project’s goals and ensuring impactful outcomes in sustainable VET education.
In the coming months, two international co-creation workshops are scheduled to take place. The first one will be in Karditsa, Greece (May 2025) and will bring together trainers, teachers, and students to collaboratively lay the foundation for the EcoTrade Card Game. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions to co-design game elements, ensuring that the final product is both educational and engaging gain a green entrepreneurial mindset.
Following the development phase, an international pilot testing and evaluation event will be organized in Miranda de Ebro, Spain (November 2025). This event will involve trainers and students who will have the opportunity to test the EcoTrade Card Game, providing valuable feedback for refinement. The pilot aims to assess the game’s effectiveness as an educational tool and gather insights for further enhancement. This approach aligns with the project’s commitment to continuous improvement and responsiveness to user feedback.
These activities underscore the project’s dedication to collaborative development and the integration of diverse perspectives in creating educational tools that promote sustainability in trade practices. By involving educators and learners directly in the creation and evaluation processes, “Co-Create EcoTrade” aims to produce resources that are both relevant and impactful in the context of VET education.
